Hello Beautifuls! Welcome to my first blog post for 2016! and a much belated HAPPY NEW YEAR! As much as I have been working on content for the blog already this year juggling full time work, life, fam, friends and drama has proven hectic lately so I'm hoping to now get back into the swing of things! :)

makeup lovers on a budget or who don’t have the means to afford some other
worldy makeup and beauty items, have been forgotten and left behind on one of
the latest must have trends in the beauty world … I’m talking matte / velour
finish liquid lipsticks! Of course there is the ever beautiful 'ABH' Liquid lipsticks, 'Too Faced' Melted lips, 'Jeffree Star Cosmetics' Velour lips and not to be forgotten 'Australis' Velour Lips. But for a slightly more affordable and available option look no further than BYS Cosmetics!
BYS – is a affordable beauty or drugstore
brand that has been around for a long time, in fact some I think some of the
first items of makeup I ever bought or was given as a kid were BYS brand
although way back then it was branded the full term for the abbreviation “Be
Yourself” ah memories of sticky flavoured lip gloss! Needless to say in recent
times the brand and me and my makeup preferences have both come a long way! It's good to see such an affordable brand really "producing the goods" in such a big way!
BYS is available at Kmart, Cosmetics Plus and some bargain shops to my knowledge!
The latest edition to my growing collection
of matte / velour / velvet finish liquid lipsticks is these 4 striking shades from
the “BYS Velvet Lips” liquid lipstick collection and I have to say I am
impressed with both the colour selection, quality and finish.
I picked up shades : 'Pink Alike' 'Lily Vibrant' 'Berry Sweet' and my personal fave 'Bare Beauty'
Review :
Formula & Application : these BYS liquid lipsticks offer an extremely thin consistency, making
a little go a very long way. The larger flat doe foot applicator is useful despite this, in that it doesn't hold to much product to work with at once and is almost perfect to first outline your lips before filling in with colour.
Such pigmented and delicious colors and despite thin liquidy formula, all very opaque.
Wear : No transfer once dried and even
after long wear, I did notice some separation and flaking after eating and
drinking due to moisture.
Cost : I picked up these little cuties at
‘cosmetics plus’ for only $8.95 if you have a store locally check them out a
great fun affordable beauty product at an affordable price to keep up with and
try for yourself the latest trends in the beauty world.

Finish : This stuff sets / dries QUICK! so care is needed when applying. A super matte / velvet finish once dried can be quite drying on the lips.
I have been thoroughly enjoying incorporating these new little gems into my daily makeup routine whenever I want a full matte lip wether bold using 'Berry Sweet' or a more neautral look with 'Bare Beauty' if your interested I hope you get a chance to try these lovely lip products for yourself!
