Welcome back to Lusty Lashes in 2015!
I hope you all had a fab Christmas & happy New Year!
I did attempt to schedule this review to auto post over the Christmas break, however being my first attempt at auto posting I must have done something wrong and it didn't post! So my apologies for leaving this review a little later than planned while teasing you all with IG and Twitter pics of these dazzling products.
Todays post features the new Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colours. A two step lip colour and gloss that promises 16 hour wear and kiss proof colour with high pigmentation and shine.
There are 8 gorgeous shades available in this collection, all highly pigmented and mostly opaque. I found that the shades *Dare To Pink* & *Skinny Dipping* were a little weaker in these traits which was somewhat disappointing, but forgivable given the nude nature of the colours which blends well for a subtle lip look.
The colour range is as follows (listed in order of swatch pic, below right):
700 Skinny Dipping - A light, brown-based nude, 730 Make Your Move - A dark, brown-based nude, 110 Dare To Pink - A soft, pink-based nude, 200 I’ll Call You - A soft, blue-based pink, 500 Kiss Me You Fool - A warm orange/red, 310 Little Minx -A super bright, fuchsia pink, 550 Play With Fire -A deep, blue-based red, 230 Kiss Fatal - A pinky purple plum.
I tend to steer away from lip stains, I feel the pressure to accurately apply the colour in a perfect pouty shape and be prepared to deal with any little mistakes I make for the rest of the day! However with the Provocalips range, the smaller doe foot applicator did make applying the colour accurately a breeze although this was frustrating when trying to get an adequate amount of gloss!
I am impressed by a formula that stays in place without bleeding, transferring or completely drying my out my lips that holds true to its claim of 16hr wear (just make sure you keep applying the gloss over the colour to keep it moisturised!)

Rimmel has made two big claims about this range. The first being that the product is 'kissproof'; the second - that it has a 16 hour wear. Both claims we have seen from lip product ranges many times before.
The Test - Work Day
Make Your Move
The 16hr wear is what I was counting on when I selected the shade *Make Your Move* for a busy day at work.
Not only did I get several compliments about my lip colour during the day, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I only had to re apply the clear gloss twice during my 9 hour work day!
I didn't have the need to wear the product for the full 16 hours that it declares it can maintain, but at 9 hours wear I am thoroughly impressed. Many lip products would have completely disappeared by this point. With that in mind, should I find a need for a 16 hour lip colour any time in the future, I will have confidence that Provocalips would be one of the more suitable candidates for the long haul task.
To pick a fave from this bunch is near impossible, Im sure you will agree! So I will choose the colours I have worn the most since receiving these and that has got to be "I'll Call You" & Make Your Move"
Overall I have to say I am completely in love with this new range from Rimmel! I am so happy to have this collection and have been reaching for them daily! A great range of bright wearable long lasting colours!
Thanks so much for reading!
