Let's call this a "Progress Report"

Hi there beautiful people! Today on the blog I'm sharing a "progress report" of sorts all about my 'Urban Decay Naked 3" palette as you may know if you follow me on social media I picked up this gorgeous palette early 2015 after lusting over it for ever so long! Despite this I was nervous about using it for the first time, I'm still learning when it comes to all things makeup especially eyeshadow and consider myself a newbie at best! When I bought this palette I considered it an investment and once I finally got around to trying it I had the delightful experience of working with excellent quality and seeing how much it improved how my makeup turned out even with my novice hand!

I adore the romantic, feminine, fun and flirty tones of this palette and have found it easy to work into day to day makeup, which surprised me!

As you can hopefully see from my pics I already have made a significant mark in several shades in this beautiful palette including strange, dust, burnout, trick, nooner, limit and factory.

Note ; the shade 'Blackheart' intrigues me so... Up until now I have been a little intimidated about using it, but that will be my next challenge!

Pictured below are my fave combinations of shades used for my go to looks I create and wear a lot using this beautiful palette!

Look 1 : I use the matte white shade 'Strange' as a base to help all my colours pop, I use 'Nooner' as a darker matte transition colour in the crease followed by the shade 'Burnout' generously applied over my mobile lid and blend this into the transition colour in the crease, next I finish will a small amount of 'trick' in the outer corner to create this bold, bright, warm pink and gold look!

Look 2 : next up my attempt at a more muted tone eye makeup look with a darker accent - once again beginning with 'strange' as an all over base shade 'limit' as my crease colour or transition shade, 'factory'in the outer v to help my eyes to standout more by forming a frame around my mobile lid where I place 'dust' all over, I find it really stands out with the lovely white base from the first shade in the palette and I love a little pop of glitter!

Although as you can see from my pics my eyeshadow and blending techniques still need work but it is so much fun working with such good quality, smooth consistency and highly pigmented eyeshadows!

Thanks so much for reading and sharing in my love for this palette! Next up on my list is definetly more palettes from 'Urban Decay's Naked' range of palettes and I have my eye on the 'Naked 2' & 'Naked Smokey' palettes next!

Which 'Urban Decay' palettes do you love to work with!? I would love to hear your thoughts on this palette, this post and the eye looks I have created in the comments below!
