Recently I was invited to spend the afternoon at the races with my new work crew! I was excited to get dressed up and have a few cheeky drinks!
I spent most of Saturday morning getting ready, choosing what to wear and applying my makeup! I even decided to buy some new false lashes and take them for a spin but with all the fun, dancing (& drinking) they didn't last long! Lol
My makeup all done with the false lashes before they came off!
The Makeup :
Base |
Foundation, Powder, Highlighter & Bronzer. |
I applied my MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix Fluid liquid foundation with my Real Techniques foundation brush and used my Prep and Prime Concealer under my eyes.
I set my base with a thin application of my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish natural powder in the shade medium.
I softly contoured my cheek bones and forehead and added some sun kissed warmth to my face using my Face Of Australia pressed matte bronzer
Lippy & Blush |
I added a smidge of my all time fave MAC Alluring Aquatic Multi Dimensional blush in shade Seduced At Sea to the top of my cheek bones and as a transition colour on my eyes.
I chose the to match my lip colour to the beautiful soft pink featured in my dress and went with Australis Velour Lips in shade Lun-Dun.
For my eyes I reached for my Chi Chi Cosmetics Pretty Palette. Sticking with my colour them of pink for the day, I used mainly the soft pastel pink shade (3rd Pan from the left pictured above and below!)
I quickly swiped some 'Australis Tint My Brow' gel to keep my eyebrows neat and defined.
I picked up some new simple Napoleon Perdis lashes to complete my eye look for the day!
My makeup picks for a 'Races Ready' Face Of The Day! |
Love this lip colour!
What I wore :
I have had this beautiful dress with the tags still on for quite a while waiting for a nice occaison to wear it and feel really dressed to and girly! So when the memo came to me at work about race day I immediately had it in mind!
This dress was perfect to be dressed up but not present as too over done.
I was happy to wear mostly black because it's easier to match with accessories and the pop of pink became my colour choice for my makeup and nails!
A silly pic of me taken by the man, wearing my pretty dress from city chic before I headed off for a day at the races! |
Pic of the webbing detail of my dress for the day! I love this soft pink! |
The soft pink webbing detail at the top of the dress's bodice makes for a lovely feminine stand out feature for this outfit of the day and the splice of pink along the skirt of the dress makes it a conservative but still cocktail dress appropriate length, (just past the knee) perfect for a day at the races!
Thank you so much for reading this latest edition of #LustyPlus !
I would love to hear your thoughts on my makeup picks, outfit of the day and this post in the comments below!
