#LustyPlus - Pro Makeup & Beauty Show OOTD / MOTD

Hi Guys! Welcome to my latest edition of my blog series #LustyPlus, where I like to share info about my second love in life: Fashion! Namely, plus size fashion!

I have been loving more and more outfit and MOTD (Make-up Of The Day) posts as they are fun to plan, prep and write! Let me know if you feel the same?

Last weekend I attended the Pro Makeup & Beauty Show in Brisbane and today's edition of #LustyPlus is all about my chosen look for this much anticipated event on my calendar!

 

I chose this 'Bardot Strap Skater Dress' from ASOS Online, from their ASOS CURVE range by brand 'Clove Love '. I purchased it on sale for only $39 and also bought it in pink! 

I felt super confident as the dress is all black and as a plus size gal this always helps me to feel a little slimmer. The 2 strap shape and design on this skater style dress were a nice feature on what otherwise would have been more of a simple LBD (Little Black Dress) with a pretty flowing hem. 

The skater style skirt is lovely and added a little swish to my step on the day, helping me feel feminine and pretty in my OOTD. 

As the weather here in Queensland has taken a lovely turn to cooler times I wore my new dress with a cute staple black jacket from Big W's Avella Plus Size Range and a pair of full length tights with some cute little zippers at the ankle. I wore my brand new, never-worn, all time fave style of boots with a slight heel in a light concrete colour from Target Australia. 

I also was sporting my brand new Kardashian Kollection bag which I picked up on super sale from Strandbags recently.

As I was wearing mostly black I decided to go with a pop of spicy orange and gold for the eyes to go with the colours I am loving currently and that match my new handbag. I felt this added a nice pop of colour to my look! I settled on a bold, dark lip using my much loved Australis Velour Lips. 

 I applied a thin layer of FOA Cosmetics HD Primer (a current fave) and applied my Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation with a beauty blender before using my MAC Prep & Prime Concealer under my eyes. 

 

I set my base using a new addition to my makeup collection - the Maybelline Matte Maker pressed powder and added a small amount of my Essence Sun Club Matte Bronzer blended with MAC Alluring Aquatic Multi Dimensional Blush a favourite combo for a soft contour and blush on my cheek bones. 

 

 

For my eyes I reached for my Chi Chi Cosmetics OMFG Palette (which you can read more about here). I chose my fave colours from the palette - the spicy orange shade and used the gold shade for the inner corner highlight. 

 

I also lined my lower lash line with my go to light matte brown eyeshadow in my INGLOT Palette and quickly swiped some Australis Tint My Brow Gel over my eyebrows to keep them neat and defined. 

For lashes I went with Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara which was recently given to me by my darling little sister! I have never used anything from this brand before and have been pleasantly suprised by the quality of this mascara! 

 

Finally to really set the look off, I added the striking Australis Velour Lips in lip gloss in Doo-Bai - a beautiful, deep, blood-red shade.
