That O.M.F.G Palette though.....

Hey guys, I decided to post this on the blog as a bit of a self challenge! I have often said here on the blog and on my numerous social media postings that I am not very good at the application of eyeshadow! I do however really enjoy playing around with it and learning more tips and tricks!

That of course brings me to this the Chi Chi Cosmetics O.M.F.G. Palette from the brand's glamorous eyeshadow collection!

The Chi Chi Cosmetics O.M.F.G palette contains some of the most fabulous, amazing and out there shades that every beauty lover will surely swoon over! boasting bright colours in a selection of shades and finishes.

Oh. My. Frank & George!

I only wish Chi Chi would give there eyeshadow pan colour's names! I would have loved to see what they could come up with for these striking shades!

Time for a pop of colour!

I'm intimidated sure, having not really ventured into this bright neon colour spectrum before, but so excited to play and experiment with some fab new looks!

I'm a big fan of the ever affordable and beautiful brand Chi Chi Cosmetics - I often find myself swooning over the products available!

Oooh those beautiful spicy orange shades...

The glamorous eyeshadow collection palettes contain high quality, matte, sheer, metallic finish, outstandingly pigmented , wearable shades that can be used wet or dry.

I decided to step waaaay out of my comfort zone when first attempting to use this colourful palette and instead of simply doing a 'pop of colour' I went all out and chose to create the look above for an evening out using my personal favourites that stood out first in the palette : the bright pink matte shade, bright blue matte shade, shimmering blue shade and shimmery spicy orange shade!

Once again I am certainly not a professional when it comes to eyeshadow but I had so much fun and got many many compliments while out and about!

The next time I was feeling brave I decided to do a more simple eye look I chose to use again the spicy orange shimmer shade (a personal fave from this palette) and blend a little bit into the crease while doing my 'go to' eye makeup using a simple muted matte brown.

I really liked the effect! I also added a tiny bit of the stunning gold shimmery shade (the first pan in the palette) as an inner corner highlight and a small dash of it on my lower lash line!

I was having a play and practicing some techniques for a bold makeup look for when my bestie and I go and see wicked the musical and was thrilled to have the bright matte green shade to incorporate! Using just a smidge as a base to line my top and bottom lash line! (Shown below sans mascara for an 'Elphaba' & 'Glinda' look!)

My 'Elphaba' Inspired Look!

(I also added some shades from my Lime Crime Fantasy Palette to keep with the theme I was going for!)

My personal opinion is that someone more experienced / professional could definitely create some amazing looks with this palette, however if you are a bit of a newbie / novice like myself and your considering grabbing this palette, I say GO FOR IT! Have fun and just enjoy!

It's the perfect introduction palette to start stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new bright makeup looks as it's very affordable, you can pick it up in most areas of Australia locally at some stores such as Big W! And it's great quality!

This post is not sponsored by ChiChi Cosmetics, the above mentioned palette was purchased by me and all pictures and opinions are my own*

Thank you so much for reading and for all the positive responses I have had on my social media pages when posting all about my ventures into this wonderful bright colour spectrum! I would love to hear what you think of this post, the eyes looks I have created and of course this palette in the comments below!
