Makeup / Product Pics ... 'Work Makeup Of The Day' for my first week at my new job!

Hi Guys! Today on the blog I am sharing my picks for a work suitable makeup of  the day from my own makeup collection.

After a brief break from the working world over the last few months, I started a new job last week and have been loving getting back into the swing of office / retail life!

I had become more adventurous and bright with my makeup since having some time off and mainly working from home so I had to have a good look at my options and routine to help me figure out an appropriate 'Work Makeup Of The Day'

I decided to keep it natural and not go too overboard.

I shopped my stash for my reliable products I knew I could count on to help me feel confident at work, and gave myself a few different options!

I looked to all my neutral and nude eyeshadow and lip shades but decided to keep my fave pop of pink a feature on my cheeks and lips for each days makeup application.

All About That Base ...
The name of the game here is quick, not too much fuss, reliable, long wearing and natural looking base!

FOA HD Primer - Oil Free :
I was lucky enough to be given this in my rather large bag of sample goodies I took home from Obsession 2015 and have been reaching for it ever since! It helped to keep my makeup in place the first day I wore it so I knew I could rely on it to be one less thing to worry about when doing my makeup each day for work!

Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation in medium beige :
I use this foundation so often and love it so much that it was an absolute no brainer to count on for a busy and stressful week when I need a full face of confidence to get through it!

MAC Prep And Prime :
I find a good quality Concealer is a must for work days especially for me since after not working even for only a little while I have been exhausted this week! Need to get back into good habits and routine!

Revlon Colorstay Aqua - Transluscent powder :
I choose this powder when I am going for a more subtle natural look, it's low fuss too and I find it really quick to use and perfect my base.

A Llittle Bit Of Blush...
I have been careful with my bronzer, contour, highlight and blush so as to not present to clients, customers and my new boss, as too overdone.

Essence Sun Club Matte Bronzer in shade Light for Blondes :
This bronzer is my go to when I'm in a hurry and don't want to end up looking muddy or over bronzed with my lack of application skills! I'm new to the 'bronzing' world folks! This product is a great easy way for me to practice. Perfect for my anxious hands to quickly apply while getting ready for work!

Essence Like An Unforgettable Kiss Duo Blush in shade *Nothing But Love Stoned* & Essence Silky Touch Blush in shade *Adorable :
I have been alternating between my fave baby pink blush (*Adorable) and the light peach / pale duo blush (*Nothing But Love Stoned) so that I don't feel like I'm missing out on one of my fave parts of my daily makeup application! Essence powder products are easy to wear very subtle or build to wear dramatic so these 2 were my best choices for my work makeup.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in *Soft & Gentle :
If you have ever seen my instagram account you will know that I am absolutley addicted to this beautiful product! I originally thought it might be best to leave this a much beloved step out of my makeup routine for work but I simply could not resist! I have been trying my best to apply this just as a subtle highlight to my cheekbones!

The Eyes Have It...
Again trying to be subtle & neautral I looked to my reliable products!

Models Prefer NUDES eyeshadow palette & My INGLOT freedom system palette :
I have been sticking to the shades *Rich *Burnished & *Hazel in my Models Prefer Palette to keep my eye makeup subtle.

I often look to the quality of my INGLOT eyeshadows when I'm in a hurry and or need a good long wearing colour and I stuck mostly to the brown shades within my palette, although I must admit I did dip into my double sparkle finish pink a few times just for a little bit of glitter! Lol

Lips, Brows & Fab Lashes!
I tried to keep it appropriate and not too  bold, but I definetly didn't want to go without a few nice options for my lipstick colour for some confidence in my smile!

Australis Velour Lips in *Hon-O-LooLoo* :
I love Velour lips matte finish because I find that it needs little to no touch ups and I can wear it for a full work day without it wearing off! This shade is a nice  peachy nude that I feel pretty and feminine while wearing.

NYX Cosmetics Butter Gloss in *Tirimasu:
I included one of my fave NYX butter glosses in my selections for my work makeup because I love the non sticky formula and they are always quick and easy to apply!

Maybelline MATTE 7 pinky nude :
My fave colour is pink so I found this pretty pink matte lipstick was a good option for ease of application, to help me feel girly and pretty even while at work!

Australis Tint My Brow :
A quick swipe of this over my brows to add a little colour and set them in place for each day was the perfect fit for a work day face!

Benefit Cosmetics - Roller Lash! :
This mascara is a game changer for me, so happy to have this to try! Stay tuned for a full blog post! :)

Pictured above is me on day 1 of my new job fully made up and feeling good ready to take on my new role! Looking anxious but ready for a whole new chapter in my career.

I'm sure as I get more confident and settle in at my new place of work I will get a little bit more adventurous with my makeup for work each day but for now these are the products I'll be turning to!

Thanks so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post, I would love to hear your thoughts on my product picks and any products that you turn to for reliability when getting ready and doing your own makeup for work in the comments below!
