Low / No Buy Makeup Month : 1 July! ("what I didn't buy in July!")

I decided at the start of the month to commit to a low buy / no buy ! After spending a heck of a lot of money on makeup of late and my recent trip to Sydney involving a lot of big makeup purchases my wallet and budget needed a break, not only that though I wanted to challenge myself to not buy any new makeup and instead get into the habit of "Shopping My Stash" if you will!

I'm not gonna lie it's been tough! Haha I have been tempted so so many many times but I have resisted and I'm quiet proud to say that I didn't spend any money on makeup this month and I'll be sticking to it and seeing how I go committing to a more full time plan, more on the rules of that later! But for now I wanted to share a brief post all about "What I didn't buy in July!" Hahaha 

I have lusted over the 'Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks' since their release and even told myself that the one exception to the "no makeup" rule would be to buy the shade "Heathers" when it was restocked & then of course a whole new range of colours where released in July and my urges to spend went into overdrive! I resisted and didn't end up purchasing any this month but I do see an "ABH Haul" in my future! Lol 

So unluckily there was a 30% off sale on the entire range of 'Australis Cosmetics' at 'Priceline' this month! This was one of the hardest sales to resist I LOVE Australis! 'Fresh and Flawless pressed powder' was calling my name but I persisted in my challenge though and didn't buy anything! I don't know wether to smile or cry! Lol 

These new little cuties have been on my radar for a while now I love the packaging  of the new 'Physicians Formula Argan Wear Blushes and Bronzers' I will be picking up some of these in the future! #ThatSparkleTho 

Never usually one to shy away from a sale, let alone a sale on some of my fave brands products the latest chi chi %25 off sale at Myer was a real test for my resolve! 

I am a big fan of the 'Chi Chi Glamorous Eyeshadow Palettes' and even had to walk away from the opportunity to grab the Naturals, Mattes, Mattes 2, Sunkissed and Bronze palettes on sale in the brands 'Dynamic Duo' packs on sale! 

After a recent purchase of the gorgeous 'Chi Chi Cosmetics Viva La Diva Lipstick' in "Husband Shopping" I added "The Bomb.com" to my Wishlist and even had to think twice before walking away without it in my hand!

I'm kind of obsessed with nail polish so when I saw this collection all over social media right at the start of my challenge I was a bit upset to not be able to snap up some of the pretty polishes from beloved brand 'Face Of Australia's Calypso Bay' collection 

In an effort to not tempt myself unnecessarily I stayed away from more "high end" stores this month and I feel it really helped with my challenge! 

With that being said, I'm just going to leave these here......

I have been swooning over 'Charlotte Tilbury' Makeup and products for a long time and right at the end of this first month of low no buy I was more tempted than ever!

I will be continuing my low / no makeup buy and have decided to allow myself X2 new makeup item each month until further notice (hoping I can make it until November!) one of those 2 being a repurchase of a regularly used item and the other being any limited edition item that I genuinely want for my collection, (I'm looking at you MAC Cosmetics and your upcoming "Giambattista Valli & Guo Pei" collections!
