Loreal Colour Riche "Shades Of Grey' Collection on shelf in all its glory! |
Ever since my first purchase of a beautiful Loreal Colour Riche nail polish after reading a fab review by the beautiful Emma from EmmaBovaryBeautyBlog all about the charming shade #LuxembourgGardens my love for this brand, their super pretty polishes and my collection of them has only grown!
(you can read some of my previous posts on other faves from Loreal Colour Riche nail colours here. )
Just in time for Valentines Day this year '50 Shades Of Grey' comes out in cinemas and for anyone who is a fan who will be going to see the movie and or indulging in the shades of grey that Valentines Day is all about (wink wink*) Im sure this is good news!
When I spotted this new collection at priceline recently I was so excited to add a few of the beautiful shades to my own collection!
From L-R : Power Potion *LatexEffect, Mademoiselle Grey * LatexEffect, Aux Chandelles *WaxEffect. |
L'Oreal 's Colour Riche Le Vernis easy application, high gloss built in top coat and luxe formula never fails to impress this beauty lover, The "Shades Of Grey" collection is no exception, even including some fabulous texture and high gloss finishes :
Spiky effect - a kinky / sexy play on the liquid sand, Glitter texture / effect very popular in nail polish collections through out 2014
Metallic effect - to add some shine & spice to any nail look.
Wax effect - A smokey effect from what I can tell so far.
Latex Effect - a high shine / gloss look I believe is Loreal's contribution to the "gel nail look without gel curing" trend happening right now! I was intrigued by the idea of a latex finish.
Such pretty little polishes <3 |
All about the SHADES of grey!
There are 6 stunning shades in this new collection from beloved brand loreal colour riche :
#885 Aux Chandelles *Wax Effect
#888 Mademoiselle Grey *Latex Effect
#895 Power Potion *Latex Effect
#893 Secret Wish *Mettalic Effect
#891 Do Not Disturb *Spikey Effect
#892 Totally D'Accord *Spikey Effect
I never really jumped on the bandwagon of people reading the 50 shades of grey books, but I am excited to see the movie! I would have loved to buy every pretty polish in this new collection, however I already have quite a few unloved and unused polishes in my stash at home so I decided to be sensible and just pick up a few!
#MademoiselleGrey A smooth semi matte blue based grey & #AuxChandelles A smokey white had my attention immediately and I was instantly intrigued my the idea of both a "Latex" & "Wax" finish!
I picked up #PowerPotion an almost fluid looking black with shine, also in a "Latex" finish as I was instantly a fan of the name, it rang true to my firm belief that a good splash of a good nail colour can give me the confidence I need for any situation!
The stand out features in this collection are for me definitely the new finishes and in some cases just a new name for a textured finish aka Spikey! good call L'Oreal!
I also officialy love the 'Latex' finish i have had both shades on my nails since purchasing these polishes and have been marvelling at the quality and gel like finish it brings to my nails! Also wears really well and has not chipped at all!

All in all I'm once again happy with a super impressive collection of shades from a much beloved brand #LorealParis I think they have done a wonderful job introducing some new finishes and effects, and successfully played on the kinky / sexy vibe that both the books and the upcoming movie "50 Shades Of Grey" is all about!
Thanks so much for reading! I would love to hear your thoughts on this post and this fab new collection in the comments below!
