Affordable Beauty Faves - Part 3 - Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation

Affordable Beauty Options are something we talk about a lot here at Lusty Lashes Beauty HQ! As a beauty product, makeup lover and beauty blogger on a budget, I love finding little bargains, love a good sale, love finding amazing 'dupes' and equivalent products to amazing yet more expensive beauty and makeup products!

Today I would love to share with you all some more info and my reasons for loving : 'Revlon' Colorstay liquid foundation.

This post is definitely waaaay over due as this foundation has been a firm fave and a go-to for me for some time now. I have previously spoken about my love for this product on social media and here on the blog, recommend it to family and friends with happy results and no matter how many new foundations I try wether high end or drugstore I just keep coming back to it!

As much as I would place 'Revlon' in the 'Affordable Beauty Brands' category they are one of the more expensive drugstore brands in my experience, however they can be forgiven in my opinion because their products regularly have promotions, bonuses and sales and this product is definitely worth the price tag!

'Revlon' Has hit the nail on the head with this range of liquid foundations offering a wide range of shades and tones different skin type suitable formulas : normal to dry and combination to oily.

For me personally and after trying a few different shades, I settled on choosing a shade from the combination / oily skin type range '240 medium beige'

I find I can wear this foundation on its on for quite good coverage that is extremely easy to build as the formula is quite thick but non drying.

As you can see this product is advertised as "24 Hour Wear" for me personally I'm never really aiming to wear any makeup quite that long! But it is extremely long wearing even on the longest of work days and with my somewhat oily and problematic skin!

To build up coverage after applying a light layer of my fave liquid foundation I will set with an all over pressed or loose mineral powder my faves at the minute are 'Physicians Formula' & 'Models Prefer'

For super full coverage or heavy coverage I set my foundation with 'MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural' powder in shade medium.

To simply set and mattify with the coverage the foundation naturally provides I will use my 'Laura Mercier Pressed Translucent Powder' or any other translucent powder I am favouring at the time.

Thank you so much for reading! I really hope you enjoyed this latest edition of "Affordable Beauty Favorites" I would love to hear your thoughts on this product, brand and this post in the comments below!
